I love to lift. Nearly every day, the first thing I do when I wake up – 5 a.m. on weekdays – is head to the gym. Currently that health club is Athletic Apex – New York, located in DestiNY USA in Syracuse, New York. This place is amazing but part of its draw is the specially-trained personal trainers it has on staff.
I haven’t always been the best at rolling with the punches. In fact, I often would get severe anxiety whenever plans were about to change or if I had no plans or was unable to make plans.
Last week was a gorgeous week weather-wise in Central New York. One weeknight, our family traveled south of the city of Syracuse to a very special farm in Lafayette, New York, called Matthew 25. Lazy Saturdays are the best, am I right? This past weekend was the first weekend I can remember in months where we are all home, even my husband. What’s more? We don’t have any plans besides church and religion on Sunday. That is a wonderful weekend! I mostly graded public relations writing assignments with groceryContinue reading “Wine for Lazy Saturdays at Home”
It’s #WineWednesday again and the last official day of summer. In the Central New York area, we’ve had a spectacular summer with hot, sunny weather. Even today, there is not a cloud in the blue sky and temperatures are soaring to 82. It’s hard to believe it’s the last day of summer but tomorrow, fallContinue reading “#WineWednesday: Last Day of Summer…Looking to Fall”
Usually, I limit myself to one weekday night of wine drinking. I work out four times a week and I find that a couple glasses of wine interrupts my sleep too much for me to get the most out of my lifting at 5:30 a.m. the next morning! But this week has been a bitContinue reading “One of My Favorite Cheeseburger Wines”
